This session is facilitated by Lincolnshire County Councils Employee Support and Counselling Service Do you wish to know more about grief and loss and how to support someone who is grieving. Most people experience grief when they lose something or someone important to them. In addition to bereavement, this can include a range of situations such as relationship breakdowns as well as suddenly finding yourself unemployed. For those who want to help, it is sometimes difficult to know what to say or do. Seeing a friend, colleague or loved one struggle can be very difficult. This session is not a support group, but it offers an opportunity to hear and understand more about grief and loss and how this can impact on us and those around us. No need to book simply follow the link on your chosen date
Looking after our wellbeing sometimes takes a back seat when we are busy, however this is an essential part of maintaining our physical and mental health. Our 45-minute guided wellbeing sessions delivered by qualified mindfulness practitioner Stuart Couling aim to give you a break from the working day and focusing on the present. The sessions consist of a period of meditation where you listen to the practitioner while being lead through a series of relaxation techniques. You will find that as you relax, your mind will become clearer, and stress will be relieved. At the end of the meditation, you will gently come back to normal awareness feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. There is no need to book onto these sessions in advance.

This workshop is facilitated through Lincolnshire County Council and delivered by respected mindfulness practitioner and counsellor Rachel Munns. This year we will be running full day sessions consisting of workshops aimed at supporting colleagues to understand and recognise some of the signs that stress is impacting on their resilience and mental wellbeing, as well as ways to manage these negative impacts.
Whether you are a manager who wants to support their team or a colleague who wants to help themselves, their friends or their family, this workshop is for you!
Morning session - Understanding, Recognising and Managing Stress and Mental Wellbeing This workshop explains what stress actually is (not the preconceived ideas that we have as a society) and how it can eventually lead to illness, both physical and mental. It also takes a refreshingly frank look at mental health issues and illness but, critically, looks at how we can take a proactive stance to avoid developing any issues in ourselves. This workshop also has a great deal to offer anyone who is already struggling (including ladies of a certain age and their long-suffering partners!).
Afternoon session - Build Resilience, Focus and Wellbeing This workshop sheds light on how to deal with difficult times, how to control the voice inside of your head and, critically, how to choose what you focus on and when. It explores the reality of paradigms and how they can shape (and sometimes distort) what we are experiencing through no fault of our own. It is ideal for anyone who wants to better understand how to deal with difficulty or, indeed, how to support someone else who is struggling. You will leave armed with a wide range of tools to build resilience and to manage worry and wellbeing. All staff are invited to attend these workshops. No need to book onto these sessions in advance.
Lincolnshire County Council are running menopause drop-in sessions as an informal gathering where individuals experiencing menopause can come together to discuss their experiences, share insights, and seek guidance.
These sessions typically provide a safe and comfortable environment for open conversations about the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of menopause, each session will have a topic of interest to discuss.
They are also holding a Men only session on 29 January 2024, this session aims to foster better communication, support, and overall awareness among men regarding menopause, ultimately contributing to more understanding and supportive relationships during this life stage. Sessions are facilitated by LCC colleagues who are experts by experience only, they can offer valuable information and camaraderie for those navigating this life stage.
