Feedback from staff working across the Lincolnshire system has been vital to the development of this toolkit.
That's why we asked them why they thought allies were important.
Please take a look at some of their responses are below:
I want to be an ally so I can working solidarity with people more oppressed than myself.
It’s recognising the struggles of people with protected characteristics, but also celebrating their achievements.
Having other voices from allies to amplify any counteracting of hate and injustice would mean people like myself wouldn’t feel so alone.
If you can feel another’s pain you can help them to find solutions.
Being an ally is important as it acknowledges that we are all from the same human family and need to stand together to make positive change possible in societal attitudes. We are enriched by bearing witness to the narrative of lives that are not our own.
Time for another activity.
