Our Selfcare story of the month series was launched in February following our SWANS 2 Selfcare research report. It's important to highlight our selfcare stories as they help shed light on the challenges many individuals face in the workplace while emphasising the importance of self-care and compassion.

Our Selfcare Story of the month for April features our colleague Claudia McKibbin, Strategic Business Partner in Finance and Business Intelligence (FBI) Team.

I found Claudia's story truly inspiring and insightful. It's wonderful to hear about her experience of leadership, advocacy for flexible working, and her journey of balancing career progression with self-care while living with a disability.  Claudia's reflections on the interplay between career pressures and self-care resonate with many people, as it's common for individuals to prioritise their work and others' well-being over their own. It's a powerful reminder to treat ourselves with the same kindness and compassion that we extend to others.  Stories like Claudia's can serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for others facing similar challenges. By sharing personal experiences and insights, we can help create a more inclusive and supportive work environment where everyone's well-being is valued.  If you have any specific questions or actions you would like to take based on Claudia's story, feel free to share them!
